A kiss expresses sentiments of love , affection ,attraction, respect, greeting, friendship, good luck and peace . Its not just a mere sexual activity . In a country of 1.2 billion people how may of us really understand this ? How long we will be considering the act of kissing as taboo ? When questioned the same to the elderly , all we hear is the three Ss ' SANSKRUTI ' ,' SAMAAJ' and ' SANSKAAR ' i.e. culture , society and manners . Although majority of people will never grudge to stop by the roadside to pee or hold hand of their toddlers and make them pee .
If peeing which doesn't involve any virtues to the society is acceptable outside our wash rooms , then why is kissing just limited to our so called ' private zones'?
LETS NOW STICK TO THE THREE 'S's .
1) SANSKRUTI ( CULTURE ) :
The word culture is pressurized and over-rated across the country , promoted by some bunch of hypocrites , manipulating people . The most common and relevant example is arranged marriage . We Indians kids are warned throughout our life by our parents that " DO NOT TALK TO STRANGERS " , "NEVER BORROW SOMETHING TO EAT FROM THEM ", and so on . But the same parents insist arranged marriages, where we actually have to spend lives with a stranger we meet on our wedding night . Similarly , the same mentality is expressed here when it comes to the act of kissing and pissing . So according to the irony in our culture , exposing your privates to a tree/rock/etc is more acceptable than just standing below it and spending some quality time with your loved one ? right ?
2) SAMAAJ ( SOCIETY) :
Log kya sochege ? ( people's opinion ). Well to be honest its none of people's business . Imagine, a man peeing on your doorstep, offended ? you should be . Now imagine, the same man peeing in your city's park , offended ? no ? you should be . Its high time for our society to focus on some more important issues. Peeing is the equally wrong act like writing on some conserved precious monuments. We often see media bouncing this issue over and over again .Couples are often being arrested and harassed when caught in act by the police for bribe or by political or religious communities for publicity purposes.
3) SANSKAAR ( MANNERS/VALUES ) :
'UNCULTURED PEOPLE' , is the tag a couple receives when spotted kissing . Majority of the Indian population will deny the right of kissing or being in relationship to their children because to them its 'vulgarity' and 'obscenity' and love can take place within a marriage only .
Why don't we disperse the difference between national and international boundaries and accept everything good from every other culture ? Why don't we progress and break stereotypes of any kind ?. Why don't we use words like westernisation and easternisation less and focus on being a global citizen more, ?
